Privacy Policy of the Raumtänzer App
In order to provide you with the best possible service, we need some technical information from your device and information about the execution behavior of our program code. With this information, we can continuously improve the application. For you, this means less battery consumption, better detection and overall more fun when interacting with augmented reality.
The collection and evaluation of the data is carried out anonymously. We don’t want to know at this point what you’re doing and who you are. We prefer to exchange such personal information in direct contact, we are always happy if we can get to know our customers more closely. In terms of the data that the app collects, however, we are more concerned with closely monitoring the behavior of our app. Because, like the parents of a child, we are very interested in learning how our app copes out in the world and how well it behaves towards you, our customers.

What information are collected while using the App?
We collect information about the app’s behavior during your use. This data includes:
• Device-related information
We collect device-specific information, such as the exact type of device on which you use the app, the version of the operating system, and information about the network connection (Wifi, Mobile). We use this information to differentiate with which device you are currently using our app. Furthermore, the information about the device and the network quality help us to provide the fastest possible support and improvements in the event of technical problems.
• Sequence of AR experiences
We store when you scan a marker and when the AR content is loaded and displayed. So we notice it immediately when something gets stuck, e.g. if the loading takes a little longer than desired, and our developers can deal with the solution of the problem.
• Software errors
We develop our app with great care. But sometimes unforeseen things happen and our app crashes. If this happens, we will immediately write down what has just happened, including many technical details with which we can pinpoint the problem.
Why are we using the camera?
The app uses the camera to show you the AR content in the
environment image. Therefore, the app needs the appropriate access rights. So it can be said that the app technically captures the data of the camera. However, the captured image or video is used solely for the purpose of displaying the image on the screen of your device and for displaying the AR content. No image data is stored and no image data is passed on to us or third parties by the app.
How do we use the data we collect?
We use the data collected by the app to continuously improve the quality and functionality of the app. This data will not be used in any form to identify you or your interests, nor will it be passed on to third parties. How is the anonymized information collected? We use the Firebase service to collect and evaluate the anonymized information. The data is transmitted anonymously to Firebase. What about personal data?
As described above, we do not automatically collect any personal data. However, if you also contact us directly, we record this communication in order to be able to support you in the best possible way. We use the personal data you provide in the communication to communicate with you. So e.g. your e-mail address and salutation. Before we use information for purposes other than those listed in this Privacy Policy, we will ask for your consent. We process personal data (e-mails, contact details) on our servers located in the Federal Republic of Germany, regardless of where you are located.
Accessing and updating your data
You can choose to stop using the app at any time.
All you have to do is uninstall the app and no more data is collected through that app. You may need to repeat this step on all your devices where you installed the app.
If you do not want to share the information about the app’s behavior with us, you can also explicitly exclude this in the settings of our app. Of course, you still benefit from the insights that the other users of the app provide to us.
Data security
We are constantly working to protect your data from unauthorized access or alteration. To do this, we encrypt the communication between the app and the web services in the background for authentication and storage of the data (database) using SSL.
